wiring question

I'm trying to connect a ven4 to my 2004 6 speed w/o bose. I've been using the wiring diagram from the service manual, but none of the colors seem to match. I've tried searching through the forum already, but couldn't find anything. Should I ignore the colors and just connect it according to the pin number on the wiring harness?

Re: wiring question

Do you have the correct service manual for your car? There are different versions for year, coupe vs sedan...

The service manual also gives reference values for each wire. You might try testing them to see if they match.

Good luck.

Re: wiring question

Another helpful idea would be to buy a $6 + shipping wiring harness. Everything is already labeled on the bag even.... that is, if you're adding a HU. If not, never mind. It's too hard to unravel that mess behind the original factory harness. Good luck.
