Haha, I love it. This community prides itself on sharing resources with other enthusiasts and you want payment. Don't look at anyone else's work while you're here... unless you pay.

I wasn't saying I was expecting people to pay, I was just saying if people were to pay, how much would they pay for it. I have been wanting to do this project for the past 2 years and everything on here says it is impossible or it cost too much. I decided I would be the first one to actually document the process sense everyone was asking for a DIY and saying they would pay. I'm just looking for a response to see who all would actually want the DIY before I spend the time documenting in. By the way, it doesn't cost very much. I've got everything for $593 and prob put another $20 in building the harness. Thats less then some of the garmens and much cheaper than DD.

why not just do the research yourself (gives you a project to work on) see if it works out for you. if successful post up the information, and then if people seem genuinely interested make the harnesses and charge what you believe is fair

It's an admirable goal, don't get me wrong and if you accomplish and document it, there will be many that will applaud your efforts. It's hard to say what it would be worth in dollars to someone wanting to try, maybe $29.99 given the complexity?

The main draw with DD setups is that it's legitimately good nav rather than the pre-07 versions which are sub par. That and you get touchscreen, real audio features, etc. The motorized screen has its own hotness to it, of course.
