Subwoofers in the deck where the 6x9's used to be
Has anyone put a sub or two in the deck in the stock location of the 6x9's? I have been thinking about it and am looking for either some pics and opinions if someone has done it, or some opinions on whether or not this is a good idea. Thanks.
To do this I assume 8" sub/subs would be used. Anyone have opinions on 8" subwoofers?

I think most people have opted for the more simple solution of adding a single 10" in a 4080 box instead. If you're using the stock HU/Amp you'll be powering 8s @2ohm and low power. Just doesn't seem like a winning solution
a majority of people just end up getting a seperate sub in the trunk. From what i've read, you can't get the full bass potential of your aftermarket 6x9's.
I myself, has been tempted to try out the 6x9 Kicker subs(free-air design). They come in 2ohms so it's perfect compatibility with the OEM system.

I am scrapping all the Bose junk. The thought process was to potentially run a 4 channel amp to the front components and the 6.5's in rear seat area and hook up a two channel amp to a pair of subs where the 6x9's were.
