iphone player for the G

anyone know any good FM Recivers that work for the iphone, or any iphone kit that will work. i've tried a couple FM ones but no luck. nothing but static no sound.

an FM Transmitter that works...and sounds good? that's sort of an oxymoron imo. they all suck!

i would recommend you get something like the PAC AAI-NIS2 Auxiliary Input Adapter. the USA Spec is a similar device and another option.

you can get the PAC for less then $100. only a bit more then a nice FM Transmitter like the Griffn iTrip (which can cost $50-$75). and you'll get much better sound.

check out this thread from a easy PAC install i did a few weeks ago for my iPhone.

My ashtray ipod dock works wonders with the iphone. Only thing is it doesnt not charge the iphone will in the dock, but I've had this unit for a while now and I love the dock. No matter what it doesnt skip and plus its hardwired into your car. It's pricey and only available on a few models.

It works through your CD option, like you have CD player and you hit CD again. It does not work through the radio.

Thanks! Yeah I have tried all others and this seems to be the best one by far. The clarity in the music is just like Radio or CD and I've hit bumps and my iphone didn't even budge.

I even got into an accident and was hit from the driver side and my (Ipod was in at the time) Ipod didnt even move.

did you install it yourself? i'm curious what they are using to integrate it - to connect it to the actual head unit by AUX input. like if that are just including a PAC or USA Spec device or something custom they developed. do you know?

yes you can. just use the cable that comes with the spec.dock instead of the one you're using now. you can use it with any device like PAC or USA Spec as long as it has a RCA Aux "component" (red and white) inputs.
