Who needs a double Din...I installed this myself and I'm loving it...

Please tell us how you did this, step by step write up maybe....

 

I went to hell and back getting this done...it involved soldering a few wires and also involved making my own ipod dock. I also had to dremmel the hell out of the ashtray compartment...the cost associated with all the various items to get this done was also about $400 (never mind the time I spent on this).

If anyone is still interested in doing this (potentially butchering the ashtray)
just PM me but...

1. you will have to spend $$ on a TV and Nav 2 go unit for the vid connection
2. you would have to spend $$ on the audio splicer pac-audio aux input
3. You need to buy an ipod cable to connect the ipod and power it (I also had to solder a wire to extend it to my fuse box)
4. buy 2 add-a-circuits to get power from your fuse box
5. you have to buy a ipod 90 degree adapter from www.ridax.se
6. buy and make your own ipod dock from sheet metal

 

That's sick. You would get a lot of love for a DIY write up on this one.

It should work on any ipod/itouch/iphone that has a video out feature...

 

there was a chick on here who bought a kit for her nano for like three bills. did the same thing.
