AudioControl EQS question
I bought the AudioControl EQS at a time when I thought I would be able to buy parts to replace my system one part at a time. Unfortunetly I don't when I'll the money and time to buy the other pieces of my system. I do have the AudioControl EQS just lying around my house.
So my question is: Is there a way I can install the EQS into the Bose premium system to make use of it?

Re: AudioControl EQS question
You should really buy one more component - an aftermarket 4 channel amp. Then take the Bose out and put the EQS + amp in its place. Having an EQ makes a very dramatic improvement on the SQ, even with the stock speakers.
Re: AudioControl EQS question
An RTA is an extremely helpful tool in adjusting a system. Your ears are a good tool, too, though. I'll give you that some people just like to make happy faces with them, but with careful listening to music you're familiar with, you can make rather good use of an EQ without an RTA.
One glaring deficiency in our stock systems is weak tweeters coupled with a head unit that seems fairly incapable of adjusting the treble level upward. Having the EQ in place gives you a lot more options to tweak the sound to your liking.
Obviously, an EQ is not going to make the Bose speakers win SQ competitions. But in my experience was that for the short time I had it in place with the stock speakers, it really did make a massive improvement. Given that he's already purchased the EQ it seems an investment in an amp wouldn't be a bad idea, although I do wonder how long it would be before he replaced those front components too.

Re: AudioControl EQS question
I do plan on buying the other parts of the system in the next year. I was looking for a way to make use of the EQ until I got around to getting the amp and speakers.
I've heard differing advice on the board. I was just wondering what amp to get to power the bose speakers and also what other things I'll need to get the EQ and amp installed. Thanks again.
