Pop-up NAV...does it wear out??

Ok, so had my G for about 4 weeks now, so the newness value of it is wearing off. QUestion about what you guys do with your NAV units? Do you have it so they pop up every time you start the car? Or do you just leave them down until you need them?

At first, i had my screen come up every time, but after a while i started leaving it down until i actually needed to use it. However, i'm finding it stays down pretty much most of the time during my routine commute to work and such.

WHat do you guys do? Has anyone heard of the motors wearing out from going up and down so much?

My screen should be fine for a while as I just had a new one put in to replace the defected one from the factory (screen wouldn't always stay up). Car is still under factory warranty so the work was free. Like you, I use to always keep my screen up but now I only do it when I need it, and here lately have been using the Maintenance Info screen to keep track of my MPG's (which ain't too good)...

I have mine come up automatically every time. Never had any issues.
