i was wondering if anyone who's installed a dvd player to their navi help me step by step methods of installing, what type of dvd player and other accessories I need, and to make it easier a place to go to get it all done by a dealer

Re: dvd installation

u mean a car dealer? they wont do it because its illegal to drive and watch dvd's, they might hook it up to the parking brake, but i doubt it... do a search, many people have done it. i think they use avelectronics or something like that... this costs $500.

Re: dvd installation

the cost for the G will be about $650.... $500 for the AVElectronics box and $150 for the DVD Player (with memory resume play and mp3/vcd play and tv-tuner)

Then you figure installation will be about $100

Re: dvd installation

the $150 dvd player is for a generic brand in-dash player with memory and vcd/mp3 capability.

I just bought this unit and its due-in ANY day now... will have it installed and thoroughly tested by the end of this weekend.
