How can I increase the range on my factory alarm??

I hate it when I try unlock the car from like 20ft away and the car does not respond. Sometimes it does not respond even if I am standing right next to it. Can anyone tell me where the factory alarms' antenna is and maybe I can make it bigger somehow. Its hot here in SoCal and putting the windows down helps get the hot air out before you sit in the car. Thanks in advance for any help.

I get pretty good range with my transmitter .. 100ft and inside my house looking through window with the remote pressed up to my chin. Maybe your batteries are weak .. try changing them.

Yeah - I agree. Before I put in my Viper 791xv alarm system, I could reach quite a ways away to unlock/roll down my windows. Hard to believe a battery would die that quickly though, but that could be the problem.

Try placing the transmitter under your chin and press. I swear it works

the batteries could've gotten weak due to being constantly press while in your pockets. I noticed on a few times my transmitter was being press while crouching down to wash my wheels... the panic button would get pressed and would jump. lol.

the chin theory works because your skull magnifys the frequency. =)
