I am going back and forth on what type of system to put in my new G. I have a friend with a hook-up on Alpine gear. What do you all think of Alpine speakers and amps? If not, any other medium priced solutions?

Alpine makes some pretty good amplifiers. I don't know about their speakers. Try Infinity or Boston Acoustics for some great medium-priced speakers.

 

Alpine head units are it!!!! The amps as far as I know are great but I'd go Boston for the speaks....

Alpine head units are the best. The Type S speaker set (low priced - good quality ) is pretty solid, but not your audiophile quality. If you want higher end stuff, go with Boston or MBquart. Alpine amps are pretty good. Higher end stuff would be JL audio. If you got hook ups on Alpine stuff, go for it!

if u plan for alpine amps and HU...
have alpine speakers and sub too..
they sound better as a set...
if u want higher quality alpine get the type X sub and speakers for 2004
they are sick too! carbon fiber sub!

 

If you going with Full Alpine from head to toe then you're good. Alpine works at its best when you run the entire system consist only Alpine product. A lot of sound competition won by complete Alpine setup.
