I just picked up a 15" 1200 watts Pyle subwoofer -- What amp would you guys recommend to use?

I'm not much of an audio guy, I just want something banging. I don't even know if Pyle is of good quality. I got it for 50 bucks from some kid that works with my wife.

Anyhow, I still need a new HU, thinking of a double din... 4gauge wires...

I do already have a 5 farad power cap.

kicker ZX750.1 is a good amp for its price. i can get you a hookup on one or any amp and other car audio stuff.

 

Pyle used to be decent in the late 80s early 90s. sorry man haha that amp that was suggested is a good amp. but that sub is not really 1200 watts. take about 1000 watts of it. sorry man, just had to be honest with you. a lot of the pyle stuff is EXTREMELY "overrated" as they don't abide to CEA standards that sub will take 1200 watts for a brief fraction of a second before the cone flies across your trunk.

 

Ah, I see.. It's all good. Well, whats something I can use without blowing the subs then?

I was a little skeptical about buying them, but 50 bucks for both w/ a box I was like whatever.

If these go, then I'll go back to my wanting the JLw7's...

 

jl 300/1, most amps that are brand name and claim 300 rms and you should be fine
