I wasn't aware there was an issue? Don't know about other owners but my settings remain if I turn off the car. Are you radio station presets messed up too? If so, seems like your constant 12v power supply to your headunit is busted which could be as simple as replacing the fuse. Just answer my question about your radio station preset first.

No radio presets are fine. Its just a 05+ glitch where ur Trebel and pass settings dont save after u turn the car out they default back to 0 while it still says +5 +5 if u hit down once and back up ull notice the big sound improvement

That's weird...sorry but my headunit's always performing at optimal levels. Nothing ever changes in sound once I set the treb and bass setting. Could it be that you have your SSV on high? I turned mines off...btw I have an 05' with premium pkg

I have the same problem and have yet to see some kind of solution. I just live with it and leave the treble/bass at 4 max.

I have an 05 with the "premium" Bose system, and my presets have never lost their settings.

Try this

Turn off your car, turn it back on. hit ur settings hit Down on bass then back up to 5, then hit down on treble and up WHILE a song is playing. And ull notice a great change in the sound.

I got one of the first '05s to hit the states, and I use the 4 max on both the bass ans treble. It works, and you can't really tell that much of a difference between 4 and 5 anyway.

Are you sure?

Do you have the bass and treble setting set above +3?

Have you EVER turned the volume up past 20?

Try it.

i even have people listen to it and they can also tell the difference whenever I do the fix...

****ty how everytime I get in the car, the first thing that gets done is bass -1 then +1, same goes for the treble.

and at first I was saying my settings were the same until I tried it. and sounds much much better!
