stupid speakers. help!

For some reason my front speakers are completely fine when the radio is on but when I'm using the cd player either one speaker will stop working or they just completely turn off. And sometimes if I hit a bump or something they will come back on. They turn off for really long periods of time and you can hear the music trying to come back on. I thought it was something with the wiring or connections but the guy at Infiniti said I might just need a whole new audio system? Has anyone else had this problem? Please helppp!!!

Do you have any idea how much it would cost for the dealer to fix it?

if your car still have warranty then will be free, I don't know w/o warranty but I recommend you get the aftermarket head unit

I'm taking that you're a female by your sn. A lot of members up here they do that on their own, but if you're not a technical person. $100 - $200 for labor, parts would be on your own and the total should be somewhere $500 - $600, I maybe wrong.

Just do what I do, when it goes out just hit the side of the HU and it'll come back on.

It'll work every time. It's a better alternative than to run your car through pot holes

lol you could be hitting it too hard there Mango haha
As for the cost of aftermarket decks. you can do it for a relatively small amount - go with a single din average replacement radio (75-1000+) metra kit (~100 I think) install (maybe 100) I'm in Canada so I dunno the cost of labour on your side of the border. Single din units are easier to install and there isn't any video bypasses or anything to do unless you get a flipout screen, or one of those 2-3" screens.
So in theory you could prolly get everything installed for about 300-400

the dash kit is the expensive part usually about $200ish
if you want someone to install add another $50-$100

You don't have to hit it that hard, but I usually hit the left side of the HU, around the general area of where my right knee is.
