Will a crossover help my system if i am going to add amped speakers and subs?

 

Usually, aftermarket component speakers will come with crossovers. Could you be more specific? Sub frequencies will be filtered using the low pass filters built into aftermarket amps.

I have an MTX LSX2 large signal crossover. I have a PAC 4 channel line level ouput converter connected to the stock head unit. It converts the wires into RCAs. I have another line output converter connected to the front wire outputs of the PAC that gives me one more RCA. I have the RCA from the singal line output converter connected to a rockford fosgate 200ix amp that i want to connect to some mb quart PSD 216s. The 2 sets of RCAs comming from the PAC are connected to the MTX crossover. From the crossover i have 2 sets of RCAs connected to one amp that i want to use to power the mid and rear speakers, and another set of rcas connected to another amp used to power subs.

It's a little complicated, and its my first install ever, so im not completely sure if this is the right way to do it, but it looks right.

Also, if you understand how i connected everything, how should i set the hi-pass crossover and output level for the wires that go to the amps that power the mids and rears?

And, if your in the mood for helpin a fellow G driver out, How do i set the amps?
