Battery dead after DD install

did you put the fuse back in the for the radio? I'd lock it down and check the current consumption with the fuse in and out, cuz .5 amp shouldn't kill your battery

The deck pulls 0,3amps just on the memory cable, and according to Nissan garage, it is way to much.
When the fuse is out, it shows 0,15amps, and is that is normal, and is supposed to go down to 0,01amp when the car is locked, and goes into sleep modus.
My car doesent go into sleep modus after Nissan ****ed up the setup/programming, also found out that the alarm did not work after their ****up, they will fix it as soon as the snow is gone.

Have anyone with an aftermarket deck check their, how much ampere the memory pulls when all is shut off?

.3 amps is NOTHING should NOT drain the battery in a matter of days. maybe months
I think its the car not going into sleep mode that's killing it

The car pulls only 0,15 amps when radio fuse is out.
Another thing, i dont use my car at the moment, because of snow, so there in no charging from the alternator.
The 0,3 is when the deck is off, and ACC is off, just the deck pulling amps on the memory cable.

If you find time for it, please check.
Lock the doors, ACC off, Deck off, key in the pocket, mine shows 0,45amps
Also if you get the time, can you check if your car goes into sleep modus, when dorrs are locked, should take from 10 to 30 minutes, i waited 2 hours, but still nothing, should have gone from 0,45 amps, down to 0,31 amps, or down to 0,01 amps with radio fuse out.

ok will do. how did you test your current - so that we are testing the same way? - my car also is in storage for the winter but I can check when I get home from work

i disconnected the negative battery cable, and attached one multimeter cable to this cable, and the other multimeter cable to the negative on the battery, but make sure to lock the car before you do this, otherwice the fuse in the mulitimeter will exoplode.

Here is a little calculation:

The Deck pulls 0,3 amps, and the battery is 12 volt, 12 x 0,3 = 3,6 Watt
The battery is 65 Ah, 65 / 0,3 = 216,67 hours, or 216,67 / 24 = 9 days
9 days before the battery is totally dead, but 5 or 6 days the car wont start.

so without locking my car down. there was .15 amp draw which is less than i assumed.
All I did was open door pop hood close door (I've got the dome/door light turned off when I park it).

Ok, 0,15 amps, same as me, but did you check if it goes into sleep modus, and drops down to 0,01 ampere?
Or is it the radio memory that pulls 0,15 amp, Did you pull out the radio fuse in the fusebox close to the battery?
Any idea what i can do to maintain memory, without connecting the memory cable to the battery? external battery?, Condensator? anything?

I'd say just disconnect the ground while the car is parked, that may even fix nissan's screw up cuz if you disconnect the battery it will factory default everything

I don't think it resets everything. Somethings get reprogramed on the ECU so they stay there even without power. Same way when you disconnect the battery you don't have to re add all the fuel and timing maps and everything. Most of that stuff I think is the same way.

New discovery today, when i did my measurements yesterday i did not do it correct.
The hood was open when i checked the ampere, and of course it has to be, but to get the car into sleep mode, you also have to press the hood alarm sensor, (located on the front right side in the engineroom)
Thats what i did today, pressed the sensor, locked the doors, and after 10 minutes, the car went into sleep modus, the multimeter now shows 0.04 amps with radio fuse off, and 0.12amps with the radiofuse in.

SO GUYS: To make sure your car does not drain your battery while storing for a longer time, always lock the doors, and also have the hood closed.
Storing it with the doors unlocked, or hood open will drain the battery.

Since i am the only G owner in Norway, i have to get help from G friends over seas
