Hey guys I am buying the eclipse double din unit! What I cant figure out is I don't know if I want to buy new speakers right now as I am dropping a lot of money on the dd kit and radio. SOOO can I install my double din unit and keep the bose amp and speakers??? What do I need to do or buy for this? Harness or what? I have been looking through the forums and it seems like everyone has aftermarket speakers and amps when they install a DD unit. Thanks

buy the 7550 harness either from metra or best kits
connect the blue wire (pwr ant) on the 7550 harness to the blue white wire on the eclipse.
you'll also need an antenna adapter.

 

Thank you very much- didn't know that piece would work with the bose. If I wanted to get new speakers and bypass the amp what is the best way to do it? At the amp or run new speaker wires from the dash?

 

what year is your G?
I know the 04 very well but not so much the newer models

I'd say go with an aftermarket amp if you want to change the speakers.
if you do that you don't have to do anything with the bose amp
