Speaker shut on and off

I have a avic z1 installed for sometime now, but it seems like when i drive my g35 and its cold out well most of the time. if i go over a bump or take a left turn my right front passenger side speaker goes out and i only can hear it on my left side. is it the winter with a bad connection? i have had this problem before i opened up the center console and tightened everywhere. What is going on its so annoying. The speaker harness is secure to the door panel also. Seems like when i bang the right side of center console near feet the speaker will turn back on or if i turn up the volume.

speakers cut in and out for 3 reasons
1) blown voicecoil on the speaker
2) a short from the install (ie harness wasn't connected properly)
3) short inside the deck - not common

so couple questions for you
are your speakers factory?
how was your radio installed? - did you use aftermarket harness (metra/best kits 7750 7551) if 7551 (rca harness) you will have to look at other sources for either blown speaker or problem with deck.
If 7550 harness was used check the grey wires. they are probably not connected or they are getting pinched/grounding out on some metal.

speakers are factory, but on some days they will play fine. how could the blown voicecoil still function 100% sometimes. I know the factory speakers suck, but would that be the reason of shutting off? Its only the passenger front right. Yeah aftermarket harness and the bose thing that blue square thing that connects because i have the factory amp. I tightened all those before and i guess the problem is back. is it the winter or this isnt normal? i dnt now which harness but its for obviously infiniti.

if it works when you hit the side of the center console. it sounds like the harness has gotten pinched... pop out the radio and check to see if the wire got pinched or stripped back on the metal.

theres a few harnesses as i remember. since its probably all crumpled up behind the dash since theres barely any space behind there when putting it back in. i hate taking the center console out

there's room below the radio. at least that's where I've got my steering wheel controls and bluetooth adapter, and there's still plenty of room (04 coupe 6mt)

I am having the same problem with my 04! But it only does it when I play CDs.

Do the speakers cut off when you play the Radio??

2 Rowdy - do you have an aftermarket radio or factory. if it's factory your cd is probably skipping, due to either a laser malfunction or cd scratched or dirty

try a brand new store bought cd. play it while stopped, if it skips there's a problem with the deck's laser. If it doesn't drive while listening to the same cd and if it skips when you have bumps there's possibly a problem with the stabilizer mechanism. if it doesn't skip at all.. quit trying to play scratched to hell cds
