Correct Low Pass Filter Setting

Hey guys, I've got an aftermarket sub/amp in my car and I want to make sure I'm setting the LPF correctly. I've heard that 80hz is the optimal setting and my amp LPF adjustment is a semi circle ranging from 40hz to 150hz. Am I right to assume that pointing the **** straight upwards (right in the middle) would produce a cutoff at 95hz?
