Trunk lid liner removal

I sorta messed mine up in the Nissan so I figured I'd ask first. Popped out the clips. How does the trunk lid release plate come off? Snap with force or some other technique? Thanks

they are 2 stage snaps.
pull the centre portion out (use a small flathead screwdriver) then take out the other piece.
at least that's how it is in the 04
