Poor Man's Bluetooth (03-05)
Just a quick note to let folks know I picked up the Parrot Minikit the other day and I really like it.
It's a clip on bluetooth speakerphone that you attach to your visor. It's battery operated and rechargeable. I haven't had to recharge it yet, going on 2 weeks. It syncs with your phone when you reach up and turn it on and then you can dial by voice and/or answer with a quick press of a single button. Mine dials accurately by voice command every time. I'm told my voice clarity is good and I can hear the people I am talking to fine, but I do turn my stereo off when dialing and speaking. If I talked while driving for a living I'd spend way more money, but for the few phone calls I do get or need to make while driving, this is great. It's also pretty sleek and fits in perfectly with the rest of my black interior.
I hate those earpieces but wanted the safety of a hands free device. This works for me. I picked one up for the wife and I at a Circuit City liquidation sale for $40 each.

I kind of did the same thing. I hate holding a phone when I'm driving and refuse to wear a headset. They never fit me right and I think they look stupid (everyone with a prepaid phone thinks they are cool though). So I bought the BlueAnt ST3 and it works great. The sound quality is better than the factory BT in my buddy's 328Ci. It might not be as cool as an integrated BT setup, but for the $80 I paid for it, I'm happy.
