Roofmount LCD install

Roofmount LCD install

I have and 04 G35 with sunroof that i want to put a 7" flipdown LCD for my son in the backseat. Can anyone help me with install ideas and how or if i should take down the roof?

you're going to have to take the head liner down if you want to install a flipdown screen... you're going to have to make sure that you have clearance, put in something to screw the base into and cut the headliner to get the wiring through.

Anybody ever take down the headliner in a g35 with a sunroof?

sun roof makes the install SUPER hard. You probably want to take it to a shop. because I know the first 5 or so I did in vans was a big enough pain the ***.
These are NOT easy to install by any means.
There's a few tricks I learned while installing and one is NEVER put an overhead monitor in a vehicle by yourself.

Yeah I second what Troys says. I've seen a few sunroof covers get messed up by installers not being careful over the years working at shops. Taking it to a shop and having them cover it if there is a problem is the way to go.

as long as they don't charge you more than 150-200 for the install get it installed by someone who has experience putting flip downs in. putting them in Gs isn't common, because how many of us actually have ppl in the back seat unless you have a sedan in which case that's a totally different story. Either way you don't wanna do it yourself especially if you mess up
