Re: Back side 6.5 is sub? or 6x9 is sub?
Rambo,
Thanks a lot for the info. Here are what I have:
Rear 6x9 Infinity INI 9603I (100w RMS)
Front 6.5 Infinity INI 6000CS (100w RMS)
4 Channel AMP: Infinity INI 7540A.
Look like I will put away all the bose speakers. But I only have 4 channel Amp. I want to maximize the speaker, and it's kinda waste if, I just leave the rear 6.5" empty. Can you or some kinda soul suggest me on what to do. I can buy another 6.5" speaker and fill it up. How can I wire it up?
My INFINITI AMP is 111w x 4 (4Ohm). If I bridge the door panel and the rear 6.5 in 2 channel, and the 6x9 in 2 channels. Would it be ok?
Thank you very much,
Ratman

Honestly, the rear 6.5s are filler and you may not notice a whole lot of difference replacing them.

Re: Back side 6.5 is sub? or 6x9 is sub?
I replaced my 6x9s in the rear with 3-ways and I killed my rear 6.5s. Even without a real sub in the back, the bass is cleaner than what the bose was producing. But I am afraid to push them, since they aren't meant to be subs. I must say that I am very pleased with the sound. I think the rear 6.5 hurt the sound quality more than they help... for the front passengers at least.

yeah like they said... i would just try it without the 6.5's in the rear... the 6x9's should produce enough sound to out-do the rear 6.5's. Do a partial install first, then see if you like it or not.
