Rear deck rattling?

First off, I'm a proud owner of a G35 2003.5 sedan. My current audio setup consists of a Kenwood 915 HU, a Kenwood 5.1 center channel speaker, MB Quart P series in the front, MB Quart R series in the back, a Cerwin Vega IT 12-inch in a custom box, a capicitor, a TRU 2-channel amp, and a Xtant 4-channel amp.

Now my problem, it seems like whenever a hard bass note hits, the cover for the stock sub rubs and hits the rear window. This causes a nasty rattling noise that I find very unpleasant. I took my car into Infiniti, but they were unable to fix this problem. My current solution is placing a soft towel between the cover and the window to soften the vibration, although it doesn't work all the time. I was wondering if anyone else had this similar problem or have ideas on fixing this. Thank you.

Re: Rear deck rattling?

If you put a towel between them then it shouldnt rattle
Therefore, it seems to me like the actual plastic speaker cover is rattling, not against the window.
I dont have a sedan so i cant really relate, but i would take that area apart and check for whats really vibrating.... and dynamat it perhaps...

Black 2004 G35 6MT, chrome wheels, black, still pristine
Re: Rear deck rattling?

Get the non-premium system like me and you don't have a sub on the rear deck to rattle. I just have air pass-throughs... aaaahhh... nice clear bass from the trunk. niiiiiice.
