Speaker wiring
Speaker wiring
Could they have made this any more difficult
Here is my progress, car is basically in pieces (figure of speech).
Speaker wire ran to all doors, all but 1 door wiring to the trunk to the amp. Amp power wire ran to trunk, remote wire ran to trunk. Need to mount the speakers, tweeters, and cross overs; component speakers in front and rear doors. Stock stereo out, F90BT not installed yet. All RCA wires ran.
The drivers door molex is a major SOB, that damn thing did not want to go back in at all. It took me about 2 hours just on that one molex. Passenger door was easier to do, but was still a pain, just not as much of a pain. The rear doors are pretty easy to get done.
So all that I have left is: wire up the cross overs to the speakers (all doors), run speaker wire to trunk (passenger side rear door), connect speaker wire to amp, ground amp, put power to amp. Install F90BT and load the hacks.
This is taking more time that I thought that it would.

But I am taking it slow to make sure everything gets connected properly, and not be ghettofied.

Tuesday I pick up the sub box.
Just have 1 question thoug. Is the VSS wire the green and white wire? Need to know that one for the AVIC F90BT, GPS Nav.
TroysG, in response to the PM this morning. Thanks, that was right on the money. GPS is fully active now. Good thing that there is plenty of room inside the center console, becuase that was alot of wiring. 3 sets of RCA cables, the chasis wiring, stereo wiring and so forth. I need to get an antenna adaptor yet though, good thing I do not listen to the radio very much at all. That and I need to connect the PAC-SWI-PS yet as well. Just have to remember where the resistors are.
The door speakers are fully installed, I used stock tweeter to use the mounting plate for the component speakers that I bought. They happen to Elemental Designs e9.65i. I have to tell you that they are so much better than the 6500 set that they used to make. Right now with out a sub in the car it almost sounds as if I do have a small sub installed. Tuesday I pick up the sub box, my buddy has the sub as well. I have to bring my car in so that he can build the box to fit in the trunk and have the face that goes from the drivers side of the car to the passengers side of the car. That way when you look in the trunk all you see is a wall with a sub in it. I plan on mounting the amps on the sides of the sub on the face wall. I am going to cover the front face wall with black suede that I have in my garage. Just about there, just need the sub now.
