Pre 08/02 2003 G35 auxillary input options?

I am having trouble finding a way to install a aux input for this type of model. So far everything that i've researched does not support this early version. Is there any way I can do this? If I were to install a newer Bose head-unit from a later g35 model, would it fit?

You must not have looked too hard or looked in the wrong places lol. Read the thread that is right under this one right now..."USA Spec Vs. Perpherial Elect. PXAMG-A". There are links and discussion on all of the available units.

Ill even give you the link =)

hmmm...i didn't realize that the 03 and 04 HUs were different. Sorry bout that. http://www.peripheralelectronics.com?ProductId=119. That one shows that it will work.

In that link I posted, there was a link to another site though. This site was made by a user on this board. I forgot who it was though. http://www.myg35mods.com/tutorials/aux/index.html. According to that, you can use the PAC AAI-NIS2 and the factory Nissan ipod adapter if you are looking for an ipod hookup.

I dont think it actually requires SAT, just the ability to add SAT. You can also try this one.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...fAudioQ5fVideo

Go to that sellers store too. They have a few others that might work.

I am not sure if this applies to all of the Gs or not, but one possible way to check if your hu is SAT compatible is to go in your trunk. Remove the carpets and spare tire, there are a couple bolts that secure the left floor raiser/stand thing...not sure what to call it. But under there is the factory amp on the coupes, if there is an unused white harness there, it should be for an after market SAT.

I guess another option would be to just take it to a dealership and ask them if it is SAT ready, that will tell you if any of these will work for you.

i'm 100% sure mine isn't SAT capable. Someone said that models from 09/02 and before aren't capable. I will check anyways.

errr, got a sat button? thats the EASIEST way to tell. I have a May 03 build coupe (added sat later, cable wasnt there but had button on HU) and the PAC works great, although I do have to use a Boosteroo to match the levels of the MP3 player.

Aside from spending a dime on the worthless changer in our radios, I would seem feasible.. and the prices have dropped enough to make it doable. You wouldnt have the sat cable tho.. and that would be HARD to find. You're best bet would be salvage on that. Although, I guess you wouldnt need it if you werent running the sat tuner, the PAC would go right into the radio
