starting my project either today or tom but still trying to get ideas as to how to build them. anyone with good dimensions for 10 inch sub boxes (2 of them) would be really appreciated. i am going with 2 power HX2 rock fosgate at just under one cubic foot per speaker but pics and dimension on building the box to fit tight will help. im looking around and dont see too many. sounddamin has a couple but not much. thanks RX

Get the color matching carpet from a local shop. It won't match exactly, but will be very close....... here's a pic of my trunk. It's a VERY small 10" (height) box with the sub angled slightly. Pounds like a ***** though. Boston Acoustic proseries 10.5 LF. Requires only .5 cubic feet of airspace.

Bamadog's trunk...... still plenty of room for groceries + I can remove easily as the contacts are on the back of the box.

I suggest you take a look at Drewer's and Justice's sub boxes. They're finishing mine up today or tomorrow and they'll post pics as soon as they're done. The cool thing is that you won't lose much trunk space because they fit into the rear corners of the trunk by the tail lights where the space there is pretty much useless anyways. They can build it for you to be from 0.5 to 0.9 cu ft of volume.

Ditto the above. I have two 10"s, one behind each wheel well. JustICE and Drewer built much nicer boxes than what I have in my car. Sounds fantastic and having the subs in those locations take up almost no noticeable amount of trunk space (unless you golf and like to use up the entire horizontal width). Still I can fold the seat down and actually utilize the pass-through if I have something long, which is a first in my long history of cars with subwoofers. It's well worth whatever they charge for it.

 

Good point Rob, that's exactly why I'm having my subs there. ARe you a DJ? Because I provide equipment (lighting, CD players, turntables) for DJs and sometimes I just want to roll to and from a party with my G so I fold my seat down to put lighting stands and whatnot in there.
