Carputer Problems

Hey guys,

I recently got a Mac Mini, 7" Lilliput lcd and a Carnetix power supply installed in my 2004 G35 sedan. Since the install I've noticed a couple of weird things. 1) The key fob no longer works unless I'm standing rght next to the door and 2) The climate control no longer works.

For the first issue, I'm thinking there's an antenna or something on the receiver that wasn't reconnected properly after the install? Or perhaps the computer and/or power supply is producing somekind of interference?

On the second issue fan starts blowing full force and never slows down. I'm thinking a sensor was accidently disconnected.

Has anybody experienced any of these problems? I'd really appreciate some tips on how I could even begin to troubleshoot these problems.

Thanks in advance,
Brian.

For the climate I think it's a tube disconnected under the driver side dash. Should be near the center console.

Disconnected Tube?

Hey,

Thanks for the response. What kind of "tube" would this be? Somekind of electrical conduit/connection or something like an hvac hose?

Thanks,
Brian.

If you look at the lower dash driver side, there is a couple slits with and electrical connect and a rubber hose. That rubber hose MAY be the reason for the weird AC thing. See if that fixes anything.
