Are you on the DIYMA forum? Pretty much the only place to get these mids. Are not the same design as the CX series. Anyway, I like them a lot.

I'll see if possibly it's the cables. They're multishielded, lots thicker than the twisted pair, but who knows.
I had the same tweeters in my integra up in the a pillar. It took a lot of work to get it to sound right. I am guessing because the window was loading the tweeter and cause a hump or a rise in the freq responce. I had to cut 5k a lot with a wide q parametric eq to get it sounding decent.

Why did you bandpass the tweeters? Where did you mount them? It almost sounds like it could be a phase problem. You should try swapping the + and neg of one and possibly both of the tweeters. If they are out of phase it could cause a hole in the freq response. They may both be out of phase from the mids and trying it different ways should be able to tell you. It is odd that it would go away and then come back. That sounds like an equipment issue if it persists.

Appreciate the feedback. The Seas are much better now. They're just HP at 2.6Khz now and are much more laid back. I have them in the sails, but angled in quite a bit. Suckers had to be seriously cut down to fit in there. Definitely wired in phase. Stereo is actually sounding a ton better over the last week
