Need Help- redoing whole system

Ok, so I've been doing some more research and believe I may now have a setup that will sound right. I have a 2007 sedan and I'm replacing everything except the head unit, and I will be replacing the factory screen with the Kenwood CarPortal System. As far as subs/speakers this is what I'm thinking about.
Front Doors - Focal 165 KF Components
Rear Doors - Focal 165CA1 Coaxials
Subs - Either 1 10W7 or 2 10W6s (Suggestions?)
Amps - JL 1000/1v2 (subs) JL 300/4v2 (speakers)

I listen to mostly Rap and R&B. I love bass, but with this setup I want to be able to not only beat real hard, but also still be able to have real good mids and crisp highs. Will running this setup help me achieve that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, with the Kenwood CarPortal, I'll be using the KOS-V1000 audio processor. Will this allow me to fine tune everything? Or will I need to get a second processor like the Alpine PXA-H701 with the Alpine RUX-C701 controller? Or will I be able to use the Alpine H701 with the Kenwood KS-L702 screen and KNA-G510 Nav Unit and still have all factory controls on my radio?

I saw a guy with an 07 using the Kenwood CarPortal system and he still is able to see everything (Mpg, scheduled maintenance, etc) and still has use of steering wheel controls and dash controls. http://myg37.com/forums/audio-video-...installed.html

Basically I want to do something like that, but have the ability to fine tune everything, and I'm not sure that it's possible with the KOS-V1000. Anyone got any ideas?

If you wanna keep the factory set up its no problem

I dont think you can mix and match Alpines H701 with Kenwoods own processing.
Your gonna have to stick to one brand for easy hook up and to make sure it will work
Alpine, Kenwood, Rockford and alot of companies offer some kidna of LOC with preouts for amps.

2 10"s have more cone area than one, so you will be moving more air.
Also depends on if you wanna port the W7... alot of factors

The speakers for the mids sound great. If thats what you like dont let other people discourage you from your choice.

You can use A PAC sterring wheel control adapter for about $60 or so

Well as far as the mids, I have just been looking around, and for the music I listen too it sounds like the Focals are perfect. I havent exactly heard them myself though, and I'm in Iraq, so I cant exactly go somewhere to hear them LOL.

As far as what you said about mixing and matching. Does Alpine make a touchscreen monitor thats a stand alone like the Kenwood?

Im sure Alpine makes a stand alone screen, just run the video out from the Kenwood to the Alpine. Shouldnt be more than just a yellow video out and a power source

Yeah but the kenwood KOS-L702 is a touchscreen monitor, so I'm thinking that it uses the software from the KOS-V1000 to operate.

Choice between the pair of w6 or the single w7 probably depends on your options for the enclosure

You sound to me more like the dual-w6 kind of guy.

I most likely will be running a sealed enclosure. I love bass, but at the same time I dont want it to drown out my other speakers. So i want a system that's as much balanced as possible. Will i achieve that with the setup I'm trying to run?
