G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Passport x50 with the blue display. I've used Passports for 20 years, and I prefer them over the V1. You can get a reliable used one on eBay for less than $200. My x50 has NEVER let me down. There are numerous reviews in the web that you can access, and it seems like the V1 and Passport come in at the top on most of them. The updated version of the x50 is the 9500 and has more features like GPS, but the detection range and accuracy are the same. You can't go wrong with either of these two companies, it comes down to personal preference.
Hope this helps.

You can't do that here in NJ since 90% of the cops still use X band guns. That's where the new Escorts with GPS come in handy because you can lock out false alarms using GPS position tagging.

Passport x50. Saved me once on the freeway, CHP boning out from miles behind me, tagging people left and right, by the time he got to me I was well within the speed limit. Arrows on the V1 are nice but regardless of where the signal is coming from, I just slow down for several miles. Better safe than sorry. I'm considering selling my setup though because I never even go 10 over the speed limit anymore. Escort red x50, invisicord, Mikes mount.

When did you purchase it? I was one of the beta testers and driving factors in getting Bel to provide a better audio ramp up. The first firmware upgrade had a couple bugs that most people would not even find, but the latest firmware code is phenominal. The did an incredible job with the audio ramp up and dual k band auto door opener filtering. Although the STi was never a "noisy" detector, but it is now extremely quiet around town now. Bel will upgrade the firmware for free if you don't already have the audio ramp up firmware. I had to put my V1 back up while Bel was upgrading my STi's firmware and I couldn't wait to get back. I don't know how I lived with the V1 for all these years. Even programmed with X off and k band automute for 30 seconds, the V1 is just too noisy. It is the king of the highway though, unless you have the 9500ci or STi-R.
