I have a 2003.0 with nav.

If I push the button, it will come up maybe a 1/2 inch then stick sometimes it will wiggle it's way up and come out but most of the time it just sticks and I have to pull it up.

I put some lithium grease in the sides of it but it hasn't really changed much.

Anyone have any ideas? I am guessing I'll have to take the console apart and move a spring or something, but any insight would be great.

It's happened alot with aftermarket decks, mine gets stuck when it's cold and get's stuck 7/8ths of the way up. one thing you can try - which helped mine dramatically - is loosening the bracket just a a quarter to a half turn on each screw holding in the gps

 

Is there a DIY for the the bracket assembly?
