Unhappy Loss of audio and ac controls

I have an 03 coupe with bose. There is a cd stuck in the cd player also. For some reason all my controls go out every once in a while. At first I thought it might be something with the bass so i turned it down. I can't seem to figure out any kind of pattern that leads to it going out. Sometimes it goes out for a second, sometime it is for weeks. The AC goes into automatic whenever this happens. Does anyone have any clues about what this could be? I don't want to buy a new radio if its something else...

its a circuit board. I had the same problem on my 03. unfortunately, its not a recall. i contacted my dealer and said a lot of 03s has this problem. the only way to fix this is your circuit board or getting a new HU.

University Fix

the other way, which has worked wonders for me, its with a palm! (please, no one with a weak wrist attempt this) in a punching motion hit the area where the [1][2][3][4][5][6] discs are listed, it really works... IMO if its aproblem already, your not going to do much more damage! it will still go out every once in a while, but a few wacks, and your in business.... finally after reading all these posts/threads where they say a new HU is the only was to fix it... i found the priceless fix!

i am currently in school once i get back into my summer job the jdm/avic f700bt will be taking over the palm method.
