LOL!

I had the same problem--

here's what you do:

You REALLY have to grasp that rotary silver **** firmly and pull on it HARD! I promise, it'll pop out (there are clips inthere) and YOU WON'T WRECK IT... but it needs a good pull -- was VERY scared to do this -- didn' wanna ruin a $300 fricken part... (overpriced, for sure).

Once this is out.. you're home free. The DUAL button is LITERALLY attached onto the board via two tiny little solder joints. Heat up one side, wiggle the button a little, then heat up the other side... back to the other side... until it finally pops off. Use a fine tip soldering iron .. it'll make a big difference.

Trust me on that rotary ****. Once i figured it out on the JDM part... it was easy for me to just YANK on the OEM center console to take THAT **** off as well as the volume ****.

Oh, and it'll snap in JUST FINE after wards and works like a charm..

PM me if you have any questions or concerns

thanks a lot for your post. you do have to put a good amount of force on it but it does finally snap off. i found a lot of posts describing how to do the mod but none of them explained how to get that **** off. i guess there aren't many other people worried about tearing up their stuff, lol.
