I know to do a search, which I did but all the mountian of info confused me more. I have a 2003 G35S I know it is not prewired. I did however just get a new radio installed cause of the dreaded cd changer problem. Now my quiestion if I buy the Sat. kit from say grubbs. All I should have to do is get the prewire kit and I should be all good about plugging in to use the factory HU are my assumptions correct?

You are correct. Installing the prewire kit takes a bit of effort though (too bad you couldn't have arranged for that when they replaced the HU!).

I had the prewire kit, XM receiver and antenna installed at Circuit City for $80.00. The install went great and I have had no problems with any of it.

$80 sounds like a great deal, especially if they installed the prewire - which requires taking the center console apart.
