WHICH SUBWOOFER FOR COUPE... HELP!!

I listen to hip hop, jazz, and a lot of clubing music. I love deep clean hitting bass. None of the rubbling crap. I know coupe owners have a limited amount of space in the trunk. But what sub and what encousure would sound freaking nice?? I was thinking 1 10w7 in a custom sealed box. But I don't think its going to hit hard enough for my taste. I only know about JL, I've heard others sound better and are cheaper... Please I need advice

sealed box will give you that clean bass sound...
10W7 will blow you away, with the right amp, so i've heard.
i'm getting a 8W7 with 500/1 amp, and people say it will make me deaf. we'll see! im designing/ building a box 10" or 11" high and 25" or 26" wide, then depth will depend on how much airspace i need, i think 10"... havent really measured the trunk properly yet.

In this car 1 10" woofer really goes a long way. The G coupe is a very bass-friendly car. I have two 10"s in mine from my previous Mustang so I put them both in, but I probably would have been happy with just one. By contrast I got nowhere near this much bass out of two 12"s in a ported box in my last Honda Civic.

I suggest going with the custom JustICE & Drewer box on one side. If you decide you just need more... get the other enclosure for the other side. I don't think you'll need it though. I've got a similar setup going with two fiber boxes made by a local shop. It's just crazy to get this much bass while having almost all of my trunk space still usable.

Kicker solo-baric 10 or 12. Plenty loud with lots of power like Phoenix Gold class D mono amp, A 12 only needs less than a 1 sq foot box and I think the 10 only needs .6 sq feet. I've hear a 12 in a ported box with PG amp and it was louder and harder than my 2 Infinity Perfect 12's powered by PG.

For TLUV's coupe, we installed two JL Audio 8W3-V2's that play directly into the cabin through the stock 6x9 gills via a hanging sealed box.

check it out

10w7 with a 500/1 is more than enough bass. Its my set-up, and I set off alarms when I drive by them . My insaller puts 8w7s in Suburbans - so I'm sure the 10w7 with the 500/1 in a properly sized (1.2 cubic feet) will be fine...
