Good IPOD Option

Re: Good IPOD Option
Yeah... That's true... The PAC Aux unit will make you disconnect the cable which runs back to the trunk for the factory SAT tuner... It does force you to lose SAT radio...
I also found out that there is no possible way to make a toggle or A/B switch to switch between the two.

I have been researching the iPod hookup options in the G35 for several months now. I've found that even though the DLO 'TransPod' deal seems to work well for some, and even though it seems to fit the car ergonomically very well I hate the idea of having this ugly white plastic thing next to my nice black leather interior.
As an audiophile, I want digital, or at least analog direct sound input. None of this FM crap messing up my great music.
I am currently using the iTrip, and I hate he thing. It is bulky and the sound quality is horrible. I think the best option available for us is the SAC direct input unit. Does anyone know if theres any way to use the SWIX option with the iPod?
I also love the idea of having two separate inputs with the SAC unit. That way I can have one set to my iPod and the other can be wired to a 'headphone' input mounted near the stereo.
I found the best way to hhokup your iPod to a charger while having a great analog input method. The Belkin Auto Kit is available in Black here
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...ct_Id=193794#\
it has a built-in amp with analog headphone-jack out with a wheel volume control so you don't have to run the headphone line out of your iPod, just run it straight out of the Belkin charger behind the dash and into the SAC unit – all black and clean

So i am confused. I just got an '05 coupe. i want to get teh PAC and hardwire install my iPod. I have the bose stereo amd the dealership said my headunit was sat-ready. The rub is i have no dedicated sat button, but supposedly i can run through the mode buttons and if a sat source is plugged in, it will give that as an option. so before i rip apart my dash, does anyone know if there is an input on the back of the stereo?

Yes, from what I have been told from PAC directly - the 05 vehicles are in fact compatible with the PAC units. The SAT button is integrated with the RADIO button on the stereo. Once you connect 'something' to the input, yes - you will see the SAT option on the screen.
I am not sure if anyone has yet installed one in an '05 yet... I have sold some though ?? Any feedback from anyone yet ??

G35 ipod connector
Anyone look into Neo iOn connector for the G35 or the Monster iCruze. Advertises that we can connect an iPod to the factory stereo and have the iPod connected digitally and can even control the iPod from the factory stereo controls. My buddy put one in his Escalade and it works great.
Supposedly there is someting about it not working in G35s with an SAT button. I called my local dealership and they said that they all have that button.
Anyone know differently ? Or willing to order one and try it out ?
Thanks
P.S. the websites
Neo iON
