Upgrades to Bose - Add Basslink

I want to upgrade the OEM Bose system's bass respone and am considering an Infinity Basslink (a separate post will discus the alternative of upgrading the stock speakers).

If I go wtih the Basslink, I'd reduce the bass slightly on the stock system and then fill in with the Basslink. My goal is to have clean but not exceptionally loud bass. I'd like to know:

1. Can I tap the large yellow power lead to the Bose amp? (If I'm not pushing the Bose amp, I'm thinking that the current capacity of the existing wire may be sufficient to drive the basslink as well.)
2. If the wire is insufficient, can I supplement with a capacitor? If so, how big? (I'd like to avoid running a new power lead if possible.)

Re: Upgrades to Bose - Add Basslink

strange that many audio shops tell me the basslink gives out dead sounding bass. i guess for the price and easy install, its worth it.
