I just bought an alpine iva-w505 and before I install it I am trying to get all the information I can to install it without messing anything up. I have a 2005 6mt coupe with the bose system. I just purchased the jdm dash trim with a/c controls so thats not a problem. I am wondering whats the exact wire harness I need if I have the bose system? Also, I am trying to wire subs too with the deck. Do I just wire it the normal way after? (ex. Remote and aux output into amp) or is there a different way? Also, if anyone know, can I get the imprint module for this deck also or will it somehow not work becuase of the bose or some thing? Thanks for you help. I really appreciate it.

 

The harness you need is the Metra 70-7551. It's a low level into the Boas amp. Installing subs is simple. Just hook up the remote wire and a set of RCA's to the sub output on the radio and run them back to the amp. You can ad the Imprint module and it will work with the Bose system, but I can say that the Bose system in these cars suck. I have my IVA-W205 installed into the Bose system until I get my system done and it sounds like ****.

 

I feel you. The bose has been disappointing me but its better then nothing. I think it just basically put an extra feature in the car for them to charge you more. Thanks for your advice Vrod-Mike. I was just scared that the stock amp might affect the sound after installing a sub amp into the car. Now I( know. Thank again man.
