Ac not working? ????? Help!!!

03 sedan. When I first bought the car, the ac wasnt working. Added stop leak freon. Worked for about a month. Stopped working again. Took to pepboys. They said the valve was leaking. Installed new valve and freon. Worked for a month. Came back. Valve was defective. Installed and new freon. Stopped working again. Came back. Has plenty of freon. Ac tech was explaining that theres a door in the compressor for on and off and its stuck. Does he know what hes talking about? Please help.

if they where a real "ac tech" they would know how to read a set of a/c gauges.
You need to find someone who knows how to read them, the pressures can tell you if its a bad compressor or what have you.

Turn car on, turn ac on full get a flashlight and watch your compressor clutch to make sure it's kicking in.

The clutch engages and disengages fine. Really want to get this fixed since San Diego, CA is super hot and humid right now.

I'd have to see a set of gauges. Do the lines get cold with a/c on?
