It's kind of a toss-up. I've got an 8120 in one car, and a 7140 in the G. The 8120 supports DivX, and I do like to watch videos in the car when others are in it. The 7140 doesn't support DivX, but the interface is a bit nicer.

Heres a picture i took of the mileage tracker/speedometer on the garmin nav. I was going to take more pics but as you can see its really blurry because of brightness and crappy iphone camera. More will come though tomorrow when lighting is better.

Any pics of the NAV? POI menus and such?

EQ menus, Time alignment menus?
I`ve played with this HeadUnit at Fry`s the NAV has changed just a little bit its more nicer now, dunno what exactly changed but i really liked the nav menu`s over the older ones, the older one is a exact copy of the Garmin Portable Nav Units, this one is just lil bit nicer, also it does features a Dual View as i`ve been told by a Kenwood Dealer which will let you use the Nav and watch DVD at the same time with Split screen.

Congrats Shasta it looks really nice on the G BTW check the Older units NAV to know how nicer urs looks like compared to them lol

Very nice! Makes me consider changing mine out to the kenwood. Is there a way to bypass the parking brake?

Most of the changes seem to be visual, which isnt a bad thing

the pics look nice but I cant justify spending ~$1400 for better detailed graphics.
If there were something major changed I could see spending the money, and the voice recognition isn't enough for me.

If I didnt have a nav unit I would get this, but im sticking with my 8120

^No i dont have a sound system in it yet. I have just the stock bose speakers in a coupe. Better speakers and a sub will come later but im only 20 and money isnt rolling in like that yet and i had to decide between this, rims or the sound system. As for what the shop put for the gap, i have no idea. I didnt ask. The shop where i got it at both the store owner and manager agreed this is the best head unit available that you could buy and run a sound system for it. Hopefully in the next few weeks ill be able to add that.

How's the responsiveness to your touch? One thing I hate about the pioneer units is that it's slow and fairly unresponsive. When u touch, it has a slight delay, and load times are annoying.

Super responsive in my opinion and i know exactly what you are talking about with the delay. This one doesn't have that at all. If you hate touching and having a delay or lag time dont ever get an iphone haha
