DD and nav?

Crutchfield was telling me that if I got a dd stereo for my 03 sedan that my factory navigation would no longer work. Is this true?

nav will continue to work as long as you leave it in and reconnect all the harnesses. I have an 04 coupe and still have the factory nav. good part is that you lose the annoying voice
