Replacing Speakers

I'm looking to replace all the stock speakers in my car..thats the two 6X9's, and the speakers in the door and tweeters. What is a good upgrade, which will allow me to still use the factory amp. I am just looking to pull the old one's out and put in new ones.

Thanks

do u have the bose amp? are you keeping your stock headunit?

i have the bose in my 2k6 G and i found by just upgrading to a DDin Kenwood headunit, the sound quality just improved dramatically .. and was obviously much more adjustable with the headunit. I have nice tight bass and great mids and highs...

ever give any consideration to starting with the DDin headunit?

Yes, I have the bose amp, and I do plan on keeping my stock headunit.

I wanted to do the DD conversion, but I just put alot of money into the car, and I'm really trying to get a turbo now, so money right now can't be spent on that.

I honestly (others may disagree) don't think it's worth your money to just change your speakers out -- you'll hear a small improvement... i'll let other chime in, however.

Not worth it unless you're planning on upgrading your head unit and powering the aftermarket speakers with an amp other than the factory bose...

Yeah, I was thinking that, but I thought I read somewhere on hear that someone did that and it actually improved.

Thanks for the info, I guess I'm just going to wait until I get a full set-up.
