Need to reprogram my car keys (keys stolen)
Hey all,
I have a set of keys that was stolen from my gym bag. To ensure my G35 key/fob is useless to whoever has it, I'm guessing I will need to "reprogram" my ignition switch to use a new transponder code. Anyone know how much something like this might cost?
It's not like I'm just getting a spare key made, it's more than that. I've had that done in the past. I need to completely reset the ignition side of the transponder chip relationship so previous keys do not work!
Also, what about the keyless door entry? Do I just reprogram a new key fob? Or do I have to "completely reset" that as well? Looks like I'll be calling my Infiniti dealership on Monday to figure this out ASAP. Until then, my car is on red alert!
