hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me out?? I was wanting to know what is the best In dash double din navgation available?? Right now i have a pioneer avic f900bt and i was just looking to upgrade. So whats out there that is better than the pioneer avic f900bt. Also it needs to be a double din im not a fan of the flip outs. thanks guys
Um -- ANYTHING is better than the f900bt, LOL (unless yours works flawlessly, in which case, it's actually a pretty kick *** little unit).
Hands down, the Kenwood 9140 is the best unit out right now. www.kenwoodusa.com ... check it out. Can be had for about $1500 right now.

i love my pioneer f900bt and i upgraded the software so it loads in prolly 15 secs but i was wanting something with a bigger screen. Mine only has a 5.8 screen. What makes the kenwood that are like 1500 better than say mine??? i was just curious why there expensive. thanks guys

I was also looking at the Alpine iXA-404, and adding the bluetooth and navigation too it. Does anyone know anything about it? I read somewhere online that you can plug your iPhone into it and stream Pandora through it, which I thought was pretty cool and something I I would use all the time. But I have also heard the navigation on Alpines is terrible.
I saw the Kenwood and was pretty unimpressed. The thing that bothered me the most was the screen resolution, which made things kinda hard to read. I was in a store over the weekend that sells the Pioneer units, and the guy there told me Pioneer is coming out with a new model and firmware update on June 12th. Hopefully the new release will have much a much quicker startup.

seeing is believing.
I always said -- if the F-series performed flawlessly and more quickly -- it's easily the BEST headunit on the market for many years to come -- just needs a 7" screen.
15 seconds -- LOL -- post a vid and show us that 15 second load time. Here, I'll make it easy for you: use your digital camera to take the vid (or your cell phone) and then post on youtube. I'm sure you're THE one f90bt out there that loads in 15 seconds. Cuz everyone else is AT LEAST 1 minute to get loaded to navigation, and about 1 minute 30 seconds to get blue tooth loaded, and about 1 minute 45 seconds before you can use voice activation.

dnx9140 handsdown. Don't know what you are talking about with the screen resolution? Everything looks hd clarity in terms of movies and watching videos on plus the surround sound everyone who has sat in my car asks if I got an amp installed or if I upgraded speakers...it sounds that good!
I'm really looking forward to the new Pioneer headunits coming out soon, specially the new one replacing the Z series. I heard that It's got a 7 in. WVGA screen, they're dropping the HDD and bluetooth will be integrated.
well i actually never really counted but i asure you it does not take over a min to load. An theres no need to be a smarta** about it. It use to take bout one min to load but since i upgraded it about cut the time in half. An also i just simply said it takes that long to load... Never said nething bout loading nav or blue tooth or voice activation. When im listening to the radio i am able to use it in prolly 15-30 secs. Thats what im talking about when i said load...
this is from Pioneer:
