Looking to upgrade my sound(Tired of Oem head unit)

Ok I have a non-bose system with the 6 cd changer. I want a Double din now as I want a Navi/Mp3 player. I'm not really looking to blow alot of money on my sounds as I just want it to play mp3 and play nice and clear. The previous owner changed the speakers to Alpine speakers and left the rest stock and it sounds ok right now. I just want Highs and a little bit of bass. What would be the best way to do this? For my double din I was kind of looking at the Pioneer Aviz Z2, Double din kit of course, and what else should I get to make it sound better? I just don't want to spend alot of money to upgrade the whole thing.

Avic Z2 is probably the best Avic made (IMHO), so you're lookin at a solid unit there. It's always a good idea for sound quality to amplify your speakers if you can, otherwise you can just amp your sub and leave the alpines to do their mid and high-pitched thing ..

what are you getting the Z2 for? new/used?

Thanks for the reply yet. I remember my cousin had one on his Scion and it made his whole system sound way better and it was easy to use so I liked it. I'm still comparing prices, possibly just order it on ebay. So your saying buy a 4 channel amp for highs?
