I attempted to install my OEM Ipod setup in my '06 sedan this weekend. Got the kit from everythingg35.com back in March but i'm a lazy ****

From what i read, the 03 sedans could come either prewired or not, but all 04+ were prewired.

Well, i ripped my trunk apart and there is no cable back there. I took the entire trunk out and rear seat looking for it. Def not there.

Am i missing something? Where is the cable in my '06? I have the Bose with Nav and Bluetooth.

Now what? Do i have to take my dash apart and instal it behind the HU?? I tried searching, but every thread was an install with the cable in the trunk.

 

I THINK I found the cable, it's up on the rear deck area not on the trunk floor like the coupes. It still didn't work for me so that's why I said "I THINK". So i'm back to using the USA Spec ipod adapter. I need that anyways for my tvandnav2go for the audio.

I also have the Nav + bluetooth setup

 

I looked around the rear deck and didn't see anything obvious to me that I could use. I ended up just puttint it back together and came on here to do research, but seems most of the people installing had 03/04's. I found relatively few 05/06 installers.

I haven't found anything suggesting '06 is different however. I hope i don't have to sell my kit now

 

I just looked in my 07 Sedan. I found no cable or box or anything in the trunk area. I have yet to look in the deck area but no luck in the trunk.

 

I guess the right question to ask is where is the sat radio hookup cable in an '06?

I've searches and every thread states the prewire/nonprewired is a 2003 only concern.

Well, i took EVERYTHING out of my trunk and don't see a sat cable anywhere.

If you go to Page 7 of this PDF, you'll see where the cable is supposed to be

But like i said, i go into the trunk of my '06 and it's not there.

So i'm trying to find out if it was moved somewhere else, or do i really need to yank my HU out and install it behind there?
