I may be in the market for upgrading my whole audio setup again. Right now im running on the Alpine w205 with a rockford fosgate t2 10 in sub. I have plans for upgrading it as soon as im done with my exterior look. what i havent upgraded yet were my bose speakers. what speakers do you guys recommend? cuz ive been looking at the alpine type r speakers or some infinity kappas.

What about the amp? Plan to use one? I know there are some Polk's that work well off the head unit, but then again I forgot our cars have different impedences so the Infinity speakers may have to be the way you go. If you go with an amp, look into Image Dynamics. There's also the DLS UP6, saw a set being installed in the sedan this past weekend. I've owned the Iridium set and they were ok, I didn't like how it sounded in my install compared to another set of speakers I've ran, but in another setup, they sounded amazing. If you go with DLS and want to go authorized, let me know, I know one of the half owners of the only online authorized dealers for DLS.

Amp selection is probably the biggest factor and should be decided first. If stayin oem bose, the infinity kappas seem to be the most popular choice. If going aftermarket, you have many choices.

I personally went with focal components with an aftermarket 4 channel amp.

im definitely going with a 4 channel amp. right now im leaning towards the alpine type r with components. my bose oem speakers and amp needs to go. my bose speakers are distorted at vol. 14 cuz ive been bumping my music too much lol.

but im still not sure if i want to yet. but ima check out DLS. levon, which dls would you recommend for competition speakers?

how are the JL audio speakers? cuz im most likely going with some w7s for my woofers and amps cuz i want to hit the low frequencies and the rms of 2 12s in my trunk if i wanted to hit the HIGH bass and freqs i would prolly go with some FI subs. but lows to me are just ooooowah ooowah . man i just wish i had extra cash to go all decked out already. im so impatient lol
