I just bought some Infinity Kappa 62.9i and 692.9i speakers from crutchfield are they supposed to come with adapters or are they a direct fit.

No they don't. You need to make or buy whatever you need to make them fit.

Well i installed them today and the adapter that infinity supplies allmost worked perfectly for the front.I just had to drill 1 extra hole to get them bolted on.

The rears were a total pita as everything in the back (except the fold down back) had to come out.The rears were just a bolt in and went in quite easily.

Now the sound is so much better as you can actually hear a soundstage in front of you unlike the chitty bose speakers. Now i gotta go and clean the interior which i got pretty dirty.

They must be very shallow. My Alpine Type R's needed 1" spacers front and rear in order to get them to fit.

I put these in my Z... just had to drill one hole and they sounded great... Almost as good as the M-B Quartz I had in the 240sx...

I'm a huge fan of the Kappas, my previous vehicle was Kappas all around. I'm glad to hear they're a nice upgrade from the adequate Bose system.
