What is the best iPod intergration method for what I want?

Hey guys,

I am looking to have the ability to play my iPhone within my 04 G35. I have a Bose head unit that does have the SAT button. It seems there are three different options but I am having a hard time deciding which is best.

Nissan factory iPod integration kit
USA Spec Auxiliary Input Adapter
Pacific Accessory Corporation's AAI-NIS2 Auxiliary Input Adapter

I would like to be able to control the iPhone using my steering wheel controls. This is not something I need, however. I also want to make a custom dock and mount it in my ashtray. The dock would simply be an iPod dock so the unit needs to have the ability to interface with such a unit. I do not care if song information is displayed on the radio or not.

Which solution would be best for me?

I'm no expert, but I use the USA Spec on my '05 BOSE-equipped G and it works pretty much perfectly. It's easy to hook up and steering wheel controls work well. The cable hooks into the docking port on the iPod, so any iPod dock should work. No need for a stupid minijack with this (although the USA Spec gives you the option, by having stereo RCA ins). If you want to charge your iPhone you just have to make sure to get the correct cable for the adapter.

Someone said this about the USA adapter...

I bought this for my 2004 Infiniti G35 because the tech told me that it
would work in my car.

All Infinitis built 2004 and after are prewired for satellite radio and have an
in dash 6 disc changer. Therefore, there is no "CD/CHG" button the deck,
rather there is a "SAT" button. This adapter will not work with vehicles with
a "SAT" button. The "SAT" button is present on every Infiniti prewired for
satellite radio, which as mentioned above, is every Infiniti built after 2004.

That said, I learned this after tearing the dash apart (no small feat)
through Crutchfield's perfect directions. I appreciate the time from the
techs who spent the time troubleshooting this with me. The iPod
recognized the adapter, the stereo didn't.

I am sure this is a decent product, I just don't think it will actually work with
Infinitis. There are other methods out there, so I am going to explore
those.
Is any of this true?

My '05 BOSE radio does not have a SAT button, I select the iPod using the CD button. The radio thinks the iPod adapter is a CD changer. I would think as long as your headunit has a CD button, and not a SAT button, you will be good to go. The poster above says, "The "SAT" button is present on every Infiniti prewired for
satellite radio, which as mentioned above, is every Infiniti built after 2004." This statement is not true. My '05 was prewired with satellite radio, but had no SAT button, when I had Sirius I selected it with the Source button.
