Just need AUX IN for stock radio...is this what I need?

Hi all,

My cd changer doesn't work anymore and in the interim (not sure if I want to get a double din or the replacement oem radio), I want to have at least an AUX IN so I can plug my blackberry/pda/ipod in to listen to my mp3s. I am not a big fan of ipod so I don't necessary need the ipod adapter. I just want an AUX IN. This is confusing. My CD button doesn't work anymore but the Radio button works. Does Radio change it to AUX after the installation?

Is this what I need? PAC AAI-NIS2? I see them for $60+ on ebay. I have non-bose and no SAT. Will it work for me and is it plug and play?

Thanks...

Ok...so I ended up purchasing the PAC-AAI-NIS2 on ebay for $66.25. Do you guys know if it comes with rca to 3.5mm or do I have to get it separately?

I think you'll have to purchase it separately. Check prices online and at Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Radioshack, as these are items that can easily be marked up to 500% their value.

It's too bad that your cd button has stopped working, because the USA spec adapter is great. I just installed it today. It has one iPod hook up and one aux hook up, best of both worlds there.

As for the cd player being broke, have you talked to your service rep to see if it can be replaced?

Mine went out earlier this year and they replaced it no problem and I have an 03.

I picked 2 up at a 99 cent store today. $1.19 Each.

How long did it take you to install or where did you route the cables to?

Did you have extended warranty? My bumper/bumper warranty was out since 1/2 yr ago.

I didn't care much about the ipod hook up. I have a 3rd generation 30gb ipod that I never use. I listen to mp3's on my blackberry or pda phone since I carry them with me everyday.
